Asne Sierestad

Asne Sierestad is a Norwegian journalist and the author of the bestselling booksThe Bookseller of Kabul, about Afghanistan,101 Days, about the war in Iraq and With Their Backs to the World about Serbia.  A graduate of Oslo University with majors in Russian and philosophy she worked as a foreign correspondent for several Scandinavian newspapers and TV stations in Russia (1993-96), China (1997), The Balkans (1999-2001), Afghanistan (2001-02), Iraq (2003) and the US (2004).
