Sixty-two years after his death, Mahatma Gandhi remains a figure of much interest and controversy. An icon for such world leaders as Nelson Mandela, Lech Walesa, the Dalai Lama, and Aung San SuuKyi, he is however the target of fierce attack from religious radicals and from left-wing revolutionaries. In his talk, RamachandraGuha will explain how Gandhi's life and legacy remains central to global debates on politics, religion, and the environment.
